About Us

Dave and I are retired.
Opening our home for accommodation here in Waipu just seemed the right thing to do, as a flow on from hosting overseas students and sporting teams, while being involved with our children's chosen sports. This mainly being water polo, where I was the NZ Woman's Manager for 5 years.

I like creating new from old, turning produce from the garden into jams pickles or chutneys. I am an out doors person, not only enjoying the above but also

  • Gardening
  • Nordic Walking, walking/, golf
  • Volunteer at the local Hospice
  • Have recently made creations for out Wearable Arts. called Art n Tartan
  • I have learned and still learning the Ukelele

In 1999 we left Auckland. and before settling down, we packed overseas for 5 months.. Came home and took on the caretaking job at The Coopers Beach Front Estate for almost 2 years andthen settled back here, permently in 2001

We have 2 small dogs Larry and Gus
